This one-day course is geared toward users of Smart View with Planning and Essbase. First we start with the Planning perspective and cover data entry through forms, running business rules, following task lists and other features of Smart View Planning connections: changing POV selections, submitting data, adding comments, supporting detail, spreading data—basically all things input.
Next we delve into all the features and tricks for extending the power of Smart View into Essbase/Planning reporting – ad hoc. We get into all the essential ad hoc operations of Smart View including connecting, refreshing, zooming in/out of the hierarchy, pivoting reports, and keep/remove only. We will also look at creating multiple range retrievals, using member selection, and managing the POV dimensions. We also cover other areas of Smart View including the options settings, cascade, query designer, and smart slices.
This class is taught on our training application using our Cloud environment, but for private classes can easily be adapted to conduct it on a client’s application.
